Level 3 Award in Emergency First Aid at Work (1 Day EFAW)
What Is It?
This First Aid UK course is a one day course designed for anyone
wanting to learn first aid or become an accredited emergency
first aider/appointed person within the workplace. All our
trainers are ex-military, and know the importance of A.E.D
(Automated External Defibrillator). As of 31 st December 2016,
this became a mandatory element in all First Aid courses.
We provide instructors that know the value of properly delivered
first aid more than most, and with us you'll be learning perhaps
the most valuable skillset that you can possess: the ability and
potential to one day save a life. This course provides learners
with skills and the knowledge to deal with first aid situations
in low risk work environments. There are no entry requirements
for this course - no previous training or experience is required
What Will You Learn?
For us, our First Aid course is one of the most
generally applicable lessons we can teach. In one day, we will
teach you to:
Understand the role and responsibilities of a first aider
Be able to properly assess an incident.
Manage an unresponsive casualty who is breathing normally.
Manage an unresponsive casualty who is not breathing
Recognise and assist a casualty with external bleeding
Treat a casualty who is suffering from shock.
Manage a casualty with a minor injury.
What Makes This Course So Valuable?
In every single working industry, possessing first aid skills is
a highly coveted skill. UK Law requires all employers keep a
first aider on the premises, and with the credentials we provide
you're qualified to be the employee they're looking for. The
skills you'll develop from our first aid course - for example
decision making, problem solving and staying cool under pressure
- are transferable skills that will look great on any CV. As a
bonus, signing yourself up for this course instead of being put
on by an employer will show that you're an achiever that goes
out of your way to improve.
